Black History Month: Janelle Washington
Janelle Washington is a self-taught paper-cut and silhouette designer from Richmond, VA. She graduated from VCU with a BFA in Fashion Design and was a children's wear designer for 12 years.
Lunar New Year: Julie Wang
The Year of the Fire Horse kicks off on February 17, and we're starting our celebration on Tuesday, February 18 by welcoming graphic designer and illustrator Julie Wang. Wang is a graphic designer and illustrator whose design work for global brands has spanned U.S. and Chinese markets. She also designed the iconic Richmond Folk Festival poster this past year!
Grandparents and Grandfriends Day
Orchard House Middle School is hosting grandparents and grandfriends to connect with their granddaughters at their home away from home on Friday, February 13 from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
Black History Month: Demetrius Frazier, Revolt Bookstore
Demetrius Frazier is the current Chief Learning Officer of a multi billion dollar manufacturing company and Board President of Black Men Read, a literacy nonprofit he co-founded in 2019.
