OUR GIRLS ARE LEADING THE WAY

Your Support Matters

Your support helps our girls change the world for the better.

What’s more important than helping the next generation of women have the ability and confidence to make meaningful change? At OHMS we’re not trying to produce students with the highest test scores or GPAs, we’re supporting girls as they learn how to be good citizens of the world. We’re instilling leadership, responsibility and passion into every aspect of our academic and extracurricular programs so our girls leave here with a sense of self and a sense
of purpose.

Special thanks to the creative team at Martin Montgomery Films for producing this video.

Endowment Fund

This year, in honor of Taylor Hollander’s 26th and final year of teaching at Orchard House, we are proud to launch the Taylor Hollander Campaign for the Tuition Assistance Endowment. The campaign is a celebration of his remarkable legacy, and seeks to raise critical funds to strengthen and grow our Tuition Assistance Quasi-Endowment in the 2025–2026 school year. This enduring resource will help ensure that an Orchard House education remains accessible for generations to come. Mr. Hollander chose tuition assistance as the focus of this effort because he deeply believes in its transformative power and its ability to open doors for students across our community.

A long-term faculty member and beloved history teacher, Mr. Hollander has shaped the Orchard House experience since its third year. Known for his creative lessons, dry humor, and dynamic teaching style, he has inspired students to see meaningful connections between people, cultures, and time periods. His influence lives on through countless alumnae who carry with them a love of learning.

The campaign not only honors Mr. Hollander’s legacy but also advances Orchard House’s mission by expanding need-based tuition assistance, keeping tuition within reach for more families, and strengthening our commitment to belonging and inclusion across Greater Richmond. By growing a permanent funding source, we ensure that future students can thrive in the nurturing, engaging environment that Mr. Hollander has helped to create, continuing his impact for the next 26 years and beyond.

“I do truly believe that Orchard House is a magical place where students engage in an excellent education and gain a greater sense of themselves. The endowment increases access to this wonderful, if not transforming, educational experience. And, importantly, the different lived experiences of students create a much richer learning environment and offer a more accurate reflection of life outside the school.” - Taylor Hollander
