Lauren Morris
As a dance educator, Lauren is dedicated to fostering an environment that nurtures critical and creative thinking and believes in integrating the aesthetic, kinesthetic, and intellectual aspects of dance to help students develop their own unique artistry. Through hands-on activities, collaborative exercises, and a focus on body positivity, she strives to create a multifaceted classroom that inspires and empowers students. Morris was a Lecturer of Dance at The College of William & Mary where she taught Ballet, Modern, Dance Composition, and History as well as choreographed for the College’s dance company, Orchesis and has worked with dance studios and companies in the Richmond area for over twenty years. She received her BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and a MFA from University of Michigan. Lauren is excited to be apart of the Orchard House Middle School faculty.
