Fundraising Events
The Orchard House Connection, our parent organization, plans and coordinates several fundraising efforts during the school year. Funding from initiatives such as wrapping paper and Thursday lunch sales help to provide operating income for the school.
In past years, the Connection produced an annual auction, typically held in the spring. The auctions raised significant funds for the school, and provided an opportunity for community camaraderie and celebration.
A major focus for the Orchard House Connection in the 2007-2008 school year is a symposium on leadership to be held March 4, 2008. Entitled Global Girl, Intimate Leader, the symposium’s featured speakers are Margaret J. Wheatley, JoAnn Deak, and Deborah Roffman. The speakers will address the issues of leadership, power, intellect, and intimacy and explore strategies for strengthening the connections between personal authenticity and contemporary leadership for girls.
