Become Involved in Orchard House

Capital Campaign

Over the past five years, Orchard House School conducted several phases of a capital campaign, raising more than $1.4 million in the process. Funds raised in the campaign allowed us to:

  • Purchase our building in May 2004;
  • Perform $500,000 of renovations prior to moving into the building;
  • Purchase and install a new heating and air conditioning system in 2006;
  • Renovate our basement in 2007;
  • Create a state-of-the-art science laboratory in the basement in 2007;
  • Repair and paint exterior areas of the building in 2007 through 2008.

 

The dream of a permanent, appropriately renovated home for Orchard House School became a reality due to generous support from past and current parents, the Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, friends in our community, foundations, and corporations.

 

The capital campaign was completed in October, 2006.  We extend heartfelt thanks to all of our supporters. 

 

Future fundraising plans involve grant applications to several foundations for projects such as the school library, an outdoor classroom, and a school garden.
