“Capture the Future!”
Preparing our girls for the joys and challenges of their futures is critical to the Orchard House School mission. The community’s support of the Orchard House “team” allows the school to provide an education that leads girls into the future with competence and confidence. Please help us to grab hold of our dreams by supporting “Capture the Future.”
What is Annual Giving?
- The Annual Giving campaign is a yearly initiative. Parents, alumnae, grandparents, trustees, faculty, staff, and friends of Orchard House make voluntary tax-deductible gifts for the purpose of supporting the school’s operating budget.
- As is the case with most independent schools, tuition is set to give a broader group of students the opportunity to attend, and it does not cover the entire cost of educating a student. The actual cost of educating each Orchard House girl is $1765 more than tuition and fees bring in. Annual Giving helps to make up this difference.
Why is Annual Giving important?
- Annual Giving is the primary source of contributed gifts to Orchard House School.
- State-of-the art science laboratory supplies, new textbooks, strength-training equipment for physical education classes, an electronic device that converts regular white boards to Smart Boards, and ongoing improvements to classrooms and common areas are examples of how the girls and school benefit from Annual Giving.
- Annual Giving helps Orchard House teachers continue being learners and experts, by paying for professional development opportunities.
Why is Participation Important?
- Foundation and corporation grant applications require information regarding parent and board member support of Annual Giving. Everyone’s participation matters, regardless of the level of giving.
- Your gift helps us to be eligible for other exciting opportunities.
- A small school means fewer possible gifts, but the need is large! Your participation is a vote of confidence in the school and is critical for its continued wellbeing.
We welcome gifts made by cash, check, credit card, and stock transfer. For more information please contact Martha Tyler, Coordinator of Development at 228-2436, Ext. 106 or mtyler@orchardhouse.org.
