Dear Friends of Orchard House,
This year, the school’s stationery has a bold, new line, “Celebrating 15 Years of Educating and Inspiring Middle School Girls.” It is hard to believe that fifteen years and over 250 graduates have now passed through the doors of Orchard House.
It was because of you in Year One and because of you today that Orchard House has thrived. Your generosity, hard work, and expertise launched a dream and kept it soaring. As a result, there are amazing young women in the world - strong in themselves and invested in the larger community. It is gratifying to hear that a number of our graduates are pursuing careers and interests that serve the world whether it is teaching in inner city schools or figuring out ways to start schools that replicate Orchard House.
I cannot think of more powerful work than investing in the future through our children. Thank you for contributing to this remarkable journey. It would not be possible without your trust and support. Along with the fifteen candles on the school’s stationery, there should also be one for each of you. In sharing yourself with us you have also ignited the school’s motto, “Make of yourself a light.”
