Orchard House School believes that accelerated coursework should be offered in an intentional and individually beneficial way to each girl. Acceleration needs should be made thoughtfully and with the whole child in mind. We have accelerated course offerings in Math, English, Foreign Language, History and Science. A student may choose to accelerate in one or many of the classes offered.
A student’s decision to pursue accelerated work should be interest-based, not strategic. Although girls gain a heightened sense of intellectual achievement and purpose through accelerated study, they should choose to participate because they want to explore a subject in greater depth.
Orchard House School accelerated courses count as high school credit and these classes can provide a pathway to a strong foundation for high school.
