Strategic Plan Overview

In February 2016, the Board of Trustees held a board retreat to begin the process of reviewing the most recent strategic plan and refreshing and extending this plan through 2019 to reflect the internal needs of OHS and external trends within the greater Richmond community.  

Using the recommendations from an extensive Philanthropy Assessment coordinated by development consultant Lisa Freeman between August and December of 2015, work completed by our ad hoc Tuition Task Force, and guidance from the OHS faculty and staff, the Board drafted Strategic Directions, Goals, and Objectives for 2016-2019. As part of her transition, the new Head of School, Laura Haskins, will work with the school community and the board to draft the detailed operational plan to support these objectives and intended outcomes. The Board of Trustees anticipates a final review of the plan in September 2016 with formal adoption of this 2016-2019 Strategic Plan. The summary of our four Strategic Directions and Goals are:
